The corporate ladder.

I heard someone say one time, "It's lonely up there!" I wondered what this 70 something year old meant by that.We became a friends. We were telemarketers making around $26K to $35K a year. Yippe mom I got a job!!
Me and my friend worked with about 12 to 15, 20 year olds who would fight and party like there was no tomorrow. It was amussing to watch them come in late from another wild party from last night. These girls would do their make up and hair at the office!! Some dressed quite scantly. Not one guy ever spoke up about it. Heck not even my 70 year old something friend!! The loan officers seemed to always be coming over to talk to them!!
And then my 70 year old something friend stabbed me in the back. I learned, trust no one in the corporate world very quickly. Not even this fellow worker I had trusted as a friend.
I work and live in corporate America. Like many others.
Now I am currently unemployed and my wife wants a divorce. I am searching for work. Yet at 41 years of age the cards are a little stacked against me I am finding out.
Thank God I look like I am 33 0r 35 or I would really be hurting.
Life in corporate America is strange. And soon I will be in it again.
Sincerly,
Mark R
